This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Uncle Paul’s Cabin LLC, Hereafter referred to as UPC-US (“UPC-US” or “we” or “us”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from a user of www.UnclePaulsCabin.com (the "Site"), such as you (“you” or “User”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by UPC-US through its Site.


By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide us with your personal information or interact with the Site.


Types of Information We Collect and Do Not Collect

  1. Information You Give Us. We receive and store any information you give us when interacting with the Site, our services or in any other way (other than credit card information). For example:
    1. Any information required by contest or sweepstakes entries or other promotions;
    2. Information and content you provide through any UPC-US discussion forums or by email to us;
    3. Email address when you sign up to receive our newsletter or other communications from us;
    4. Email addresses of people you know when you participate in a referral program;
    5. Information you provide in an application and resume when applying for a job with us.
    6. Any information you choose to share with us as part of surveys you do for us (or a third party acting on our behalf).
  2. Information Collected Automatically. When you use our services, we automatically receive and record information from your browser or mobile device, including, but not limited to:
    1. Your location;
    2. The unique identifier for your mobile device;
    3. Your IP address;
    4. Time and date of access;
    5. If you're accessing our services through one of our API partners, the name of the application you're using;
    6. The user ID we've assigned to the account through which you are accessing our services;
    7. Whether you are a Merchant, or user of the Site;
    8. Files/listings accessed;
    9. Version of our application that you are using;
    10. Cookie information; and
    11. The page you requested.
  3. Information We Do Not Collect. Although you may provide your credit card information to the Site for the payment of purchases from the UPC-US Site, we do not retain your credit card information. We employ a third-party merchant services provider that may retain your credit card information to perform secure credit card processing on our behalf.

Web Browser Cookies

Our Site may use "cookies" to enhance the user experience. User's web browser places cookies on the hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about the user. You may choose to set the web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

Types of Information We Collect and Do Not Collect

The Site may collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To improve customer service. Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently;

If at any time, you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or you may contact us via our Site;
  • For the purpose for which you gave it to us, such as account registration, payment of any fees or UPC-US Site purchases;
  • To communicate with you about new products and services, to share information with you about our existing products and services, such as through our UPC-US Site and our newsletters and other emails and to keep you informed of developments in advertisement-related activities;
  • To verify your identity;
  • To allow you to share your experiences using our services with others;
  • To update you on changes to our services, this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use and other administrative communications;
  • To allow you to login, share information or "like" us through a social network site account, such as Facebook and Twitter;
  • To create a convenient and easy-to-use shopping process at the UPC-US Shop that includes an online shopping cart;
  • To restrict access to our services or communicate with users who have violated our Terms of Use or otherwise violated our rights or the rights of others;
  • Provide you with interest-based ads and offers for products and services from us and participating Merchants;
  • Facilitate and fulfill orders placed on the Site – for example, for UPC-US products and services;
  • Evaluate your eligibility for certain types of offers, products or services that may be of interest to you, and analyze advertising effectiveness;
  • Perform analytics and conduct customer research;
  • Send you reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts, support and administrative messages, service bulletins, marketing messages, and requested information, including on behalf of Merchants;
  • Manage our everyday business needs, such as administration of the Site, forum management, fulfillment, analytics, fraud prevention, and enforcement of our corporate reporting obligations and Terms of Use, or to comply with the law; and
  • Enhance other information we have about you to help us better understand you and determine your interests.

We also may use information collected as described in this Privacy Policy with your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

How We Protect Your Information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. We also protect your account information through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of your information, you MUST keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. However, keep in mind that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our Merchants, Agents, trusted affiliates, sponsors and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

Except as provided below, we do not share or sell information that identifies our users personally or makes it possible for other parties to contact them directly. We share your personal information as follows:

  1. Merchants. We provide location information to our advertising Merchant customers (“Merchants”) without identifying you specifically for the purpose of enabling map functionality. Additionally, we may partner with Merchants to provide promotions. If you choose to participate in any such promotion, the information you provide may be shared as necessary to enable your participation and to allow the promotion Merchant sponsor to contact you.
  2. Third Party Service Providers. From time to time, we employ other companies and individuals to perform specialized functions on our behalf, such as secure credit card processing and email service providers. They may have access to personal information needed to perform these functions but will be prohibited from using it for other purposes.
  3. Protection of Us and Others. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with the law or comply with legal process served on Uncle Paul’s Cabin LLC; or (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, our services, users or the public.
  4. Business Transfers. In the unlikely event that we sell a portion of or all of our business or in the event that we reorganize, user records would likely be transferred to the acquiring company or new entity; however, any personal information in those records will remain subject to the promises made in the pre-existing privacy policy.

Third Party Websites

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies. Merchants may also have their own privacy statements. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the privacy policies provided by these other parties prior to providing them with information or taking advantage of a sponsored offer or promotion.

Websites that link to or from our services may collect personal information about you, including any social networking sites to which you choose to link your account with us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and cannot control the activities of, those social networking and other sites.

Third Party Websites

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13 years of age, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13 years of age.

Social Community Areas

The Site may be accessible through or contain connections to areas where you may be able to publicly post information, communicate with others such as discussion boards or blogs, review products and Merchants, and submit media content. Prior to posting in these areas, please read our Terms of Use carefully. All the information you post may be accessible to anyone with Internet access, and any personal information you include in your posting may be read, collected, and used by others. We recommend that you do not post any personal information in the social community areas.

Social Networks

You may log in to the Site using certain social network credentials. To manage the sharing of certain personal information with us when you connect with us through social networking platforms or applications refer to the privacy policy and settings of the social networking website or application.

You also have the option to link social networks, such as Facebook, to your UPC-US account. Once you register with UPC-US and connect with the social network, you will be able to automatically post recent UPC-US activity back to your social network. You can enable and disable social network connections from the “Connections” tab in your UPC-US account.

By proceeding through any of the above steps, you grant UPC-US permission to access all of the elements of your social network profile information that you have made available to be shared and to use it in accordance with the social network’s terms of use and this Privacy Policy.

Notice to Residents of Countries Outside the United States of America

By using the Site or providing us with your personal information, you are directly transferring your personal information and non-identifiable information to us in the United States. The United States may not have the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction. However, you agree and consent to our collection, transfer, and processing of your personal information and non-identifiable information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection or privacy obligations in your jurisdiction when you use the Site or provide us with personal information. UPC-US has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of any changes. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Accessing and Correcting Personal Information

You can access, update and delete your personal information, and the other information you provided to us by managing this information through your online account or sending us an email at corp@upc-us.com. Keeping your personal information current helps ensure that we and Merchants offer you the offers that are most relevant to you.

If you want to deactivate your UPC-US account or have other questions or requests, please contact us. While we are ready to assist you in managing your subscriptions, deactivating your account, and removing your active profile, we cannot always delete records of past interactions and transactions. For example, we are required to retain records relating to previous purchases on the Site for financial reporting and compliance reasons.

We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services and to maintain a record of your transactions for financial reporting purposes. If you wish to deactivate your account or request that we no longer use your personal information to provide you services contact us at corp@upc-us.com. We will retain and use your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
